Little Poppet Blanket

This blanket is made from the centre out in joined rounds, working 10 rounds per colour with a few different textures.

I used Paintbox Simply DK yarn (276 metres per 100g)

100 metres Pale Lilac

150 metres Duckegg Blue 

220 metres Macaron Green

280 metres Banana Cream

360 metres Peach Orange 

600 metres Candyfloss Pink

4mm crochet hook

Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK

sc = single crochet (double crochet in UK)

dc = double crochet (treble crochet UK)

cc = criss cross (skip 1, dc, then dc in the skipped stitch) (skip 1, treble crochet then treble crochet in the skipped stitch UK)

pc = popcorn (4 dc into one stitch, remove hook, insert hook into the first dc, insert hook into working loop and pull loop through the first dc.

slst = slip stitch

blo = back loop only (crochet into the back loop of the stitch)

[ ] = in the same stitch

* * = repeat between

ch = chain

3lo = work in the 3rd loop behind the stitch

Gauge

With a 4mm hook

9 dc x 4 rows = 2” x 2”

Pattern notes:

• I did 10 rounds of each colour and every strip of colour was 3”.

• Each round is slst to the first, then slst to the ch2 space to start the next round, unless changing colour, then fasten off and join new colour in any ch2 space.

• If you dont meet the above gauge your blanket may start to curl and may not lay flat.

• The ch2 or 3 at the beginning of a round is counted as a stitch

• The ch1 at the beginning of a round is not counted as a stitch.

• The ch2 corner spaces are not counted in the stitch counts.
