Here I am listing all the brands of yarn that I like working with. The below lists include yarns made of various materials, that I personally think are suitable for use for baby makes. Special baby yarn does not need to be used for baby makes, I have found there are a limited amount of shades in most baby yarns and it is also on the thin side, so prefer not to use it.

I have put the links to all yarns so you can have a browse of the shades available. Please note the following yarns are all available in the UK, I am not sure if they are available worldwide.

COTTON YARNS

Cotton yarns are especially good for summer makes. I use it for tops, dresses and baby rompers. But they can also be used for lots of other makes too. 100% cotton can make your clothing quite heavy so you should bare this in mind when making larger items.

I have used quite a lot of brands of cotton and some are not very pleasant to use, feel rough or very splity.

So here I am listing the brands that I have used that are very soft (enough for babies) and really nice to work with, if I come across any more, I will update my list.

COTTON BLEND YARNS

Cotton blend yarns are good all round yarns. They are a lot lighter than 100% cotton. I have used them for all sorts of projects from clothing to blankets.
