Small Bunny Applique


Any size hook and yarn can be used. I used dk / weight 3 and a 3mm hook and the bunny measured 3” x 2” at the widest parts. YouTube

With beige


Round 1: in a magic circle, ch2, 12 dc in centre of ring, slst to first. (12)


Round 2: Ch6, sc in the second ch from the hook, sc 4, slst to the base of the Ear. Slst into the next stitch, ch6, sc in the second ch from the hook, sc 4, slst to the base of the ear.

Fasten off.

Skip one stitch from where fastened off.

Join in the sweater coloured yarn.

Round 1: ch1, 2 hdc in the same, 1 hdc in each of the next 3. (5) Turn


Round 2: ch1, hdc in the same,  hdc 1, [2 hdc] in the next, hdc 2. (6) Turn


Fasten off.


Join beige where fastened off.


Round 3: ch1, [2 hdc] in the same, hdc 4, [2 hdc] in the last. (8) Turn


Round 4: ch1, dec, hdc 4, dec. (6)


Fasten off.


Foot

With the back of the bunny facing, join the beige yarn in the bottom of the first row of beige.

   


ch1, *yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop x 4* you should have 9 stitches on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 9, ch1.

Fasten off.

Arm

With the back of the bunny facing, join the beige yarn to the top round of the sweater.

ch1, *yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop x 3*, you should have 7 stitches on hook, yarn over and pull through all 7.

Tail

With the back of the bunny facing, join the white yarn to the first round of beige (under the sweater).

ch1, *yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2

stitches* repeat x 3, you should have 5 stitches on hook, yarn over and pull

through all 5.

       

Sew in all ends, leaving a long beige one for sewing. If you want to add face details to your bunny, sew a couple of stitches of pink for the nose. Sew a couple of stitches of black in the centre of the head, then a stitch of white in the centre of the black.
