Halloween Gang
This cute little gang are quick and easy to make and children will love them! They can be made in any yarn and hook size of your choice but I have added what I used.
Written in English US terms with abbreviations for UK
sc = single crochet (double crochet in UK)
hdc = half double crochet (half treble crochet UK)
blo = back loops only
flo = front loops only
ch = chain
mc = magic circle
dec = decrease sc (sc 2 stitches together) (double crochet 2 stitches together UK)
inc = increase (2 sc in next stitch) (2 dc in next stitch UK)
Materials
3 mm hook for small size or 5.5 mm hook for the large size I use this set from Amazon*
Polyester toy filling
Needle
Frankenstein
Green, Black, dark grey, light grey and brown dk / weight 3 yarn (or to make the large one you can use chunky yarn or two strands of dk)
Pumpkin
Orange, Green and brown dk / weight 3 yarn (or to make the large one you can use chunky yarn or two strands of dk)
Zombie
Beige fleck and green dk / weight 3 yarn (or to make the large one you can use chunky yarn or two strands of dk)
Skeleton
Black, White and brown dk / weight 3 yarn (or to make the large one you can use chunky yarn or two strands of dk)
The skeleton can be made with a black body, arms and legs or you can change colour every two rows to make the body, arms and legs stripey and do the head in white.
All parts are made going around in a spiral apart from the jacket.
The small will measure approx 5.5 inches and large 8 inches. However the size will depend on yarn and hook size used.
Arms
Make two (starting in green for Frankenstein and Pumpkin, beige for zombie, black for skeleton)
Leave unstuffed
Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Round 2: sc all. (6)
Change to light grey for Frankenstein and orange for Pumpkin
Round 3-8: sc all. (6)
Fasten off.
Legs
Make two using dark grey for Frankenstein (start in green for Pumpkin)
Round 1: 5 sc in mc. (5)
Round 2: *inc* x 5. (10)
Change to orange for Pumpkin
Round 3-6: sc all. (10)
Fasten off the first. Then after the second is made we will join together to start the body.
Body
Round 1: Continuing from second leg, ch2, sc 10 around first leg, 1 sc in each ch, 10 sc around second leg and 1 sc in each ch. (24)
Round 2: *sc 3, inc* x 6. (30)
Round 3: *sc 4, inc* x 6. (36)
Round 4: sc all. (36)
Change to light grey for Frankenstein
