Shell Stitch
Phone Bag
This phone bag is super simple and quick to make. It works in the round so there is no sewing or seams.
If you want to make this pattern to a different size for an IPad or other device / phone or even a childs bag.
Increase the starting chain by 3 chains.
It can be made as a quick last minute gift, or make a few for markets!

MATERIALS
Approx 50 meters each of dk / weight 3 yarn
4.5mm crochet hook
WRITTEN IN ENGLISH US TERMS WITH ABBREVIATIONS FOR UK
sc = single crochet (double crochet UK)
dc = double crochet (treble double crochet UK)
ch = chain
slst = slip stitch

Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of round 2, so you know which side to end.
Finished measurements
9cm / 3.5” wide x 16.5cm / 6.5” tall.
Round 1: chain 12, sc in the 2nd chain from hook, sc 10, [2 sc] in the last chain, working along the other side of the chain, sc 11, slst to the first. (24)
Round 2: ch1, *dc 1, skip 2, [3 dc. ch1, 3 dc] in the next, skip 2* x 4, slst to the first dc. (4 dc / 4 shells)
Row 3-11: ch1, *fpdc 1 in the dc below, [3 dc, ch1, 3 dc] in the ch1 space*, x 4 slst to the first.
Work should measure 7”, if not repeat the round until your desired length.
STRAP
Continuing from the last round, chain 100, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc 98, slst in the 2nd fpdc from the other side of the strap, slst in the stitch after.
Fasten off.
