Phone Bag

This phone bag is super simple and quick to make. It works in the round so there is no sewing or seams.

If you want to make this pattern to a different size for an IPad or other device / phone or even a childs bag.

Increase the starting chain by multiples of 2 chains.

It can be made as a quick last minute gift, or make a few for markets!

MATERIALS

Approx 50 meters each of dk / weight 3 yarn

4.5mm crochet hook

WRITTEN IN ENGLISH US TERMS WITH ABBREVIATIONS FOR UK 

sc = single crochet (double crochet UK)

dc = double crochet (treble double crochet UK)

ch = chain

slst = slip stitch

PATTERN NOTES

  • Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of round 2, so you know which side to end.

Finished measurements

10cm / 4” wide x 18cm / 7” tall.

Round 1: chain 16, [sc, dc] in the 2nd chain from hook, *skip 1, [sc, dc] in the next* x 7, working along the other side of the chain, [sc, dc] in the next, skip 1* x 7, [sc, dc] in the last. (32)

Working in a spiral, place a marker to keep track of the end round

Round 2: [sc, dc] in each sc from the previous round. (32)

Repeat round 2 until work measures 7” or your desired length, slst to the first stitch.

STRAP

Continuing from the last round, chain 100, skip 15 stitches, slst 2 of the top of the bag, sc back across the chain, sc 98, slst in the 2nd fpdc from the other side of the strap, slst in the stitch after.

Fasten off.
